The Beginning
Nitomeyo (NIce TO MEet YOu) grew from a humble idea shared by me and my two friend; colleagues from our previous company. A little background: we all come from data roles. As CEO I’m a data scientist, our CTO is a data engineer, and our CPO is a data warehouse modeler. We have been working together for 4 years, and build a lot of technologies together for our company.
One day we noticed a QR code on one of our founder wife’s business card. We asked, “What happens if we scan it? Where does it redirect?” It turned out to be a digital business card that lets you exchange contact details seamlessly. She often used it in conferences. When we scanned it, we could tap “Add to contact” and the information went straight into our phone. It was an interesting feature, practical and immediate. We asked her who provided the service; she only knew it was someone her boss knew. That was when we realized, we could build something better; with a better UI and a smarter management flow. Why mention management flow? Because the company that provided the card didn’t even have a proper landing page, so we couldn’t try their other features.
We won’t claim to be the most sophisticated digital business card. We want to travel beside our users on their journey to connect with others. First impressions matter. Our tagline must resonate with users, employees, and everyone who cares. Effortless connections, lasting impressions.
